Magnetofix are low frequency magnetotherapy devices, designed and manufactured for outpatient and home applications.

The working frequency is variable from 2 to 100 Hz, the maximum magnetic field is 80 Gauss.

The main effects of low frequency magnetic fields are: Anti-edema / Antalgic / Anti-inflammatory / Regenerative and find application mainly in: Traumatology: pseudarthrosis and delayed consolidation of fractures, fractures at risk of pseudarthrosis, soft tissue injuries (contusions, sprains, burns , etc.), district algodystrophy.

Rheumatology: degenerative rheumatism, inflammatory rheumatism, fibromyalgic rheumatism, aseptic bone necrosis.
Angiology: peripheral arterial disease, sores and ulcers.
Neurology: muscle tension headaches, postherpetic neuralgia.
Dermatology: psoriasis, ichthyosis. Endocrinology: senile and post-menopausal osteoporosis.

The magnetic field produced is of the impulsive type, when the predetermined field intensity is reached the field is rapidly cancelled, this rapid variation of the field induces the electromotive forces in the patient which determine the stimulating currents.

The apparatus has incorporated a square wave electric current generator with variable frequency from 2 to 100 Hz and variable pulse duration in order to obtain a predetermined and selectable field intensity from 10 to 80 Gauss.

The intensity of the magnetic field, as mentioned, is achieved by appropriately modulating the actuation time of the circuit delivering the current to the transducer; this current is monitored by a surveillance circuit managed by an electronic microcontroller which ensures its precision.

The apparatus incorporates an audible and visual magnetic field detector.

Two flat transducers can be connected to the apparatus at the same time; naturally in this case the field generated by the single transducer is approximately half of the total one.

The transducers supplied are made of non-rigid material for a more comfortable application. Slots are provided on the transducers for fixing using elastic bands.

The two polarities North (N) and South (S) are indicated on the transducers, this allows them to be used individually or with a coherent or repelling linked magnetic field.
